Parrot Rider

The Parrot Rider, aka Polly & Pickled Pete, are true pirates of a feather. Polly has a peg leg and an eye patch and helps keep Pete on the straight and narrow. Pete is hapless and his winged companion needles him with pointed reminders of his shortcomings. The Parrot rider was created by Zambini Brothers based on Vashon Island Washington. Owned and performed by Douglas Skove, the Parrot joins a flock of stilt walking characters including Duck Rogers and the Chicken Rider. They recently performed (made their debut) at the 2019 Washington State Fair.
