Tsunami Taiko began in 1989 as a summer activity for the children of a few families. After experiencing the excitement and fun of playing the drums, they convinced their parents to make Taiko a year round activity!

Tsunami Taiko has played for a variety of audiences around the Puget Sound area including elementary, junior and senior high schools. They have also appeared at Arts in the Park programs for the cities of Seattle, Lynwood, Mountlake Terrace, Kent, and Shoreline.

Other clients include Seattle Cherry Blossom Festival, Northwest Folk Life Festival, Tim Girvin Design, Boeing Company, American Airlines, Bumbershoot, All Nippon Airways.
