invigorating, to relive the music of our not-so-distant past. This band
not only dresses in matching outfits (some that look like a checkerboard
Vans shoe, others in dapper 80s style) but they also choreograph dance
moves and play to appreciative audiences. Learning each song in an exacting
fashion, remaining faithful to the originals.

The Retros have become the West's premiere New Wave 80s resurrection
band, selling out 1000 seat - plus venues including Portlands Crystal
Ballroom (1500 capacity) and Seattles Showbox Music Lounge.
Since 1996, The Retros have played new-wave songs by MTV relics
such as Berlin, The Go-Gos, Madness and Dexys Midnight Runners.
The five-member groups stage act includes skinny ties, loud jackets
and televisions that flash images of videos, movies and TV shows from
the decade.
At a February show , they packed the dance floor for the bands
first song
Picture a high school dance circa 1985. Young women lip-synched
the words to each other and hopped around. The band launched into Walk
Like an Egyptian by The Bangles. The dancers started pantomiming
